Physio Treatment for Pain

No matter where you are, how old you are, or where exactly your body is hurting, you should not have to live your entire life in pain.

There are so many different causes of pain. Physiotherapy treatment is designed to heal the body and hasten the body’s natural healing process. For those who for some reason are unable to receive physio treatment, there is acupuncture services available at our clinic as well.

When Should I Get Treatment?

It’s easy to say you need treatment at the first twinge of pain, but often the body heals itself naturally so that extra help isn’t needed. However, you should definitely get help if these variables apply:

· You’ve recently received surgery treatment and are feeling post-surgical side effects, including pain;

· You’re not seeing results from other treatments for your condition (removing pain);

· You are in pain but cannot leave your home for mobility reasons.

· It’s 3 days later and the pain is still present, or it’s grown more severe;

· The pain interrupts your daily routine or work day;

· You can’t lie down, sit, or sleep because of the pain;

Other factors may apply.

Common areas of pain that require treatment

Because pain varies so wildly from person to person, from mild to severe, it’s best you determine with your doctor the exact pain site so that further treatment is more effective and successful. Common pain areas we address at our clinic include, but are definitely not limited strictly to:

· Lower back pain

· Upper back pain

· Neck pain

· Shoulder(s) pain

· Elbow pain

· Headaches and migraines

· Foot and ankle pain

· Sprains and strains

· Arthritis

· Leg pain

· Finger pain

· Joint pain

· Toes pain

· Chronic pain

We could go on and on with this list but as you can see, there’s no limit to the areas of the body we serve to heal via physiotherapy! Any pain is awful to live with day in, and day out. Don’t ignore it if it becomes a daily occurrence!

What treatments are available?

Everyone can find pain relief in several different ways. There’s no longer a need for a one-size-fits-all plan in which clients must adhere to certain forms of treatment, even if their case is unique. You can choose to have one or more of all of the following treatments applied to your pain relief plan.

· Acupuncture

· Physiotherapy

· Hot & cold physio

· Cupping

· Electrotherapy

· Ultrasound

· Vestibular therapy

· Orthopedic physiotherapy

To find out which treatments may best suit your case, an assessment prior to your treatment plan is required as well as a referral from your doctor before you arrive at our clinic for your appointment.

How much does it cost?

Each of our assessments costs vary depending on the form of treatment required.

Our new TeleRehabilitation sessions cost the same as in-person ones--$80 for the initial appointment and $70 for subsequent sessions (unless they’re covered by an active ICBC/WorkSafeBC claim, in which case there’s no user fee).

Clients with an active ICBC or WorkSafeBC claim can receive these services free of charge.

What Our Clients Have to Say:

The staff at Triumph went above the call of duty to help me with my back injury. I really appreciated the effort and dedication. Thanks!
— Eric Hansen
I recently went to Triumph to see Karen for a nagging elbow injury. She assessed it well right away and immediately started a recovery process with icing, ultrasound, stretching and exercises. After months of consistent pain I am now almost fully pain free in only two visits and a couple weeks. Thank You Karen!
